Trzebiatowski Micro-Premi Girls
Donation protected
My name is Justin Trzebiatowski and my wife Kelly is currently pregnant with our twin girls. Kelly and I are very excited to be first time parents as our love for children is tremendous.
At 26 weeks into the pregnancy I heard some frightening screams coming from upstairs and was shocked to find out that Kelly's water had broken. We were both in a sort of panicked and confused state as we were unaware as to what this actually meant. We both knew that this was much too early for this to happen but we rushed out of the door to the hospital.
Kelly is in stable condition and has been placed on medication to prevent contractions as the twins have to stay inside to develop further. She will be on bed-rest until the twins are born which may be anywhere from an hour to 8 weeks.
Although we have health insurance our costs out of pocket will be much more than we can afford given that we just purchased a home to raise our children in, and we are recent college graduates under a moderate amount of student loan debt. We are rather frugal individuals and have done all that we can to prepare for this day as early as possible. Our tactics included making constant trips to CVS for diapers and other essential baby care products at pennies on the dollar (My wife is a pretty darn good with coupons) while browsing Craigslist for used baby supplies such as crib bedding, rocking chairs, breast feeding pillows and strollers.
To top this all off we will be in the hospital over the Holiday season and missing out on many family get togethers.
The worst part about the situation is the unplanned extra 2 1/2 months that my wife will be out of work UNPAID.
Unfortunately my wife an I did not research into the benefits of her MPS health care plan as we assumed that she would be given at least some paid time off for maternity leave. I am getting more paid time off from my employer as the father than she will receive.
The money raised through this fund will be used to cover the 2 1/2 months of expenses that Kelly's income would have covered. We did as much planning as possible and will still be in a good amount of debt with the very large medical bills we will receive as a result of Kelly's bed-rest and the weeks that our twins will be in the NIC-U after they arrive.
Donations would mean so much to us and especially to Kelly who truly does not deserve to be put into a financial hardship for bearing children. She will touch the lives of so many children and aspire them to believe in themselves and what they have the potential to become.
We thank everyone who has sent prayers and blessings our way and numerous family and friends have asked how they may help us. No amount is too small as each donation will play a significant role in helping us reach our goal. Please at least share this with other friends and family.
