Tree and Bench in Memory of Peter Uniat

In Pete's honour, and as his only memorial, I would like to have a Commemorative Tree planted, and a bench placed in our neighbourhood park, Dufferin Grove.

OUR BROTHER, CHOSEN FAMILY, FRIEND, UNCLE AND HOUSE WISE Peter Uniat HAS DIED. Peter Uniat died Thursday, Nov 10 at home. His big heart gave out, a consequence of the end-stage kidney disease he had been battling all these years. We were lifelong friends, literally from his birth when I was 3 years old, to his last 15 years living with us. We've described each other as a family all these years.

The costs are:

Commemorative tree: $ 738.00

Commemorative bench: $ 2,530.00

and I rounded up to cover Go Fund Me transaction fees.

Once the tree is planted and the marker plaque up, I'll invite everyone to gather to scatter some of Pete's and of his beloved cat Oscar's ashes. If I find Mikka's we'll add these. We'll have a little memorial picnic in good weather, so I hope those of you who could not attend the Memorial by the lake in the freezing cold can be included in this one.

Because we are not "Next of Kin" and because Pete made the immense mistake of not leaving a Will, there are no Survivor's or Death Benefits coming my way to cover the cost. I hope you will chip in, even if it's only a little. Let's make it happen!
