Tree vs. "The Greg": Young Division Needs Your Help

With their permission, I am creating this on behalf of Young Division. They're a passionate group of young musicians who have poured their hearts and souls into their music for the past five years, building a thriving community around their garage venue, affectionately known as "The Greg."

Tragically, a recent storm brought a tree crashing down onto "The Greg," obliterating not only their beloved performance space but also the countless hours of blood, sweat, and tears they'd invested in their craft. The heart-wrenching sight of their cherished instruments and equipment—their speakers, mixing console, microphones, amplifiers, guitars, keyboards, and even their vintage church organ—reduced to splinters and twisted metal is a devastating blow.

Every guitar pick, drum stick, and well-loved cable represented a memory, a song, a shared experience. Their instruments were extensions of themselves, the tools they used to express their emotions, their dreams, and their unique voice.

But Young Division isn't just about the music they create; they're about the community they've built. The countless shows they've hosted, the friendships they've forged, the memories etched onto the walls of "The Greg" - all of it is now a painful reminder of what they've lost.

Young Division lost an estimated $17,000 worth of cherished instruments and equipment, the tools of their trade and the embodiment of years of dedication. While the emotional toll is immense, the immediate need is to replace the bare essentials so they can continue to perform and share their music.
