Trees for Orchard Avenue
We are fundraising to plant some trees in Orchard Avenue for everyone to enjoy.
More trees on our streets will benefit our health, the environment and community well-being. Planting trees would help in absorbing some of the carbon produced and improve the air quality.
Each tree costs £200. We would like to plant 4 trees on the grass verges of Orchard Avenue. The target of this fundraiser is £800 to cover the cost of the trees. If the target is not met, the number of trees to be planted will be reduced accordingly.
We work with the Tree Wardens and West Sussex County Council to find good places for trees to be planted and we will be asking for volunteers from Orchard Avenue who are willing to water the new trees during the summer months in the first two years.
The deadline for donating to this scheme is July 16th 2021.
