Trees Please for South Pointe Elementary

Donation protected
Please help us plant trees at South Pointe Elementary School!

-Research shows that increasing the tree canopy by 10-15% can reduce urban temperatures by up to 5 degrees.

-Trees actually cool the air surrounding them by as much as 9 degrees through a process called evapotranspiration.

-A tree can absorb as much as 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year and can sequester 1 ton of carbon dioxide by the time it reaches 40 years old.

Please help us cool this place down and help the students, school, community and our planet.

Some of our 5th graders, who are studying the issue of deforestation for their IB Exhibition projects, are helping to raise awareness about the important role that trees play for our planet.   Please help by donating so that we can plant more trees on campus.

All money donated will go towards trees, large and small, for the South Pointe Elementary School campus.    It costs us about $1300 to install / plant a 15-18 ft Oak tree (shade now) and about $350 to plant smaller trees (shade later).  We are hoping to plant a mix of small and big.

Thank you so much for your help!!
