Trek Great Wall of China for LOROS

I'm off on an adventure!! Whilst raising funds for the local LOROS Hospice.

In October I will spend five days trekking along the Great Wall of China.

This magnificent manmade structure has been voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Stretching for 6,000km, it zig-zags its way across China, snaking across mountains and through valleys.

The trek passes through watch towers and mountains and historic battlement stations that are well off the tourist trail.

The trekking on this challenge is hard due to the number of steps up and down each day – it can sometimes take an hour just to trek 1km! Another highlight will be conquering the 1,000 steps up to the wall at Mutianyu – culminating with the ascent of the ‘Heavenly Ladder’.
