Dear Family and Friends of Tresa and John Cavanaugh,
I am reaching out to you in a difficult time. Our good friends Tresa and John are in a desperate situation, as Tresa is currently in the ICU at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, Washington. The situation is dire, and they need our love, support, and financial boost to assist them in this journey.
Tresa has been diagnosed with Alcoholic Ketoacidosis and Starvation, and is currently being treated by her Doctors and the Healthcare Team at the hospital. She was rushed to the hospital, by ambulance, on Friday, August 30th, and remains there still in the ICU, with no clear prognosis. The complications can be many. Prior to the admission into the hospital, her condition had been ongoing since early July, with John providing care at home, not knowing the extent and severity of the issue. All that has changed now and updates will be provided as they become available to share.
Since early July, Tresa’s income as a practicing Attorney has come to a complete halt, and John’s income is limited to Social Security and what he makes playing with the band Billy D and The Hoodoos. They have depleted their savings and maxed out their credit cards just to get by over the last few months. The last thing they need to be thinking about right now is how they are going to pay their bills.
As most of you know, Tresa and John have been deeply involved in the music scene here in Oregon and Washington for a very long time. Their commitment to the scene and their unwavering support to all of their friends in the music and entertainment business has been exemplary. Tresa and John were pivotal in the success of a fundraising effort, auction, and musical tribute for my wife, Tracey Fordice, and her battle with cancer just a short time ago. Now we must support them in their time of need.
On behalf of John and Tresa, I have taken the responsibility in setting up this fundraiser to help them financially. I ask that you consider donating to this GoFundMe and share this with your friends, family and social networks. Tresa and John have never needed our love and support like they need it now, and they are grateful for your help during this difficult time.
I thank you for your compassion, kindness, and generosity, as well as your love and emotional support.
