Help Support Trevor's Battle with Brain Cancer

Trevor Crow, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. 36 years young has been diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer.

Astrocytoma IDH-Mutant, CNS WHO Grade 4

This is one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.

Thank you for taking the time to read the struggle Trevor is now facing and his family's recent string of life altering events. There are so many people in Trevor's life who have not yet heard the full story of what is taking place.

On Monday, February 12th Trevor unexpectedly had multiple seizures, leading to him immediately being intubated and sedated for scans which showed a large tumor in his frontal lobe. He was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer and scheduled for surgery right away and just a few days later they removed most of the tumor.

Unfortunately, his doctors were unable to remove the entire tumor. They recommended Trevor to go to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas ASAP.

MD Anderson is the best in the nation for brain and spine cancers, to include cutting edge treatment and clinical trials.

Trevor was accepted for an in-person consultation on April 3rd where a team of medical professionals who work with this type of brain cancer on a regular basis will review his case and tell him how best to proceed. Hopefully, they will accept his case.

Moving forward this is where he needs your help.

1) He could possibly only have 1 trip to Houston and return to Anchorage for all treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation and another surgery.

2) They could have him return to Anchorage for surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment with many follow up appointments in Houston.

3) He may need to stay in Houston for a few months for another surgery and all treatments.

Being accepted at MD Anderson also means that travel, transportation, food and lodging will be required to, from and in Houston for himself and caregiver.

With all of this taking place, Trevor is not able to continue working. Income to take care of medical bills, travel, as well as his rent and regular bills is no longer coming in. That alone will make life more difficult, but since he will not be working, he will need to pay COBRA insurance for his daughter and himself for a minimum of 6 months. Again, the path is still undecided, and chances are it may be longer.
