Trevor's Big Heart New Day Community Support Fund
Donation protected
Trevor’s untimely passing just before his 30th birthday was a shock to all of his friends and family. Trevor had a huge heart and out-sized empathy for others; known to even put his own life on the line for the protection and care of anyone he loved, never leaving them to feel alone. Socially, he was selflessly passionate about equality, the environment, mental and physical wellness, and critical challenges facing local communities (such as homelessness & mental health gaps). Trevor also believed people need a place to relax and meditate, a place to escape the daily stresses and pressures surrounding us. The James River Park System and Virginia mountain hikes was where he often found that peaceful respite to relax and re-energize his spirit.
Through this tragic event we have an opportunity to honor his life by directly supporting charitable organizations aligned with his passions. In the near-term, the family requests gifts of sympathy, gratitude, support, and mourning be directed as campaign contributions in lieu of flowers or other tangible items. Campaign proceeds will be directed to charitable organizations.
The family is in the process of creating a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, Trevors New Day Foundation (https://TrevorsNewDay.Foundation), enabling tax deductible donations to continually support these critical needs. Stay tuned for more information.
Trevor departed this world too early in life with eyes and heart looking toward a brighter future. This initial campaign and the longer-term charitable foundation enable all of us to follow in his deeply empathetic footsteps by supporting community assistance, parks, and improvement initiatives that honor his passions.
>> Campaign contributions will be directed to charitable organizations.
>> We will be identifying suitable charities in coming days, we will provide updates as the campaign matures.
>> We welcome input on specific charities that would meet the spirit of Trevor's empathy for those in need.
We extend our heartfelt thanks for all contributions.
