Trevor's Shoulder Surgery: Immediate Help

Hello friends,

My name is Trevor Wallace, and I’m a filmmaker and expedition leader. Last Sunday, while wrapping up a project in Switzerland, I had a serious biking accident. I was riding back to my accommodation after a meeting with the Swiss swift water rescue team for an upcoming diving expedition. I took a dark path and, unexpectedly, swerved to avoid a small woodland creature (I think it was a hedgehog—sorry, little buddy!) and crashed. The fall caused severe damage to my shoulder, tearing all of the ligaments. The X-rays confirm the extent of the injury, and without immediate surgery, I risk permanent damage and limited mobility in my right arm.

Unfortunately, my health insurance doesn’t cover the procedure here in Switzerland. If I return to Hawai’i where I am insured, the delay in surgery would greatly reduce my chances for a successful recovery. After consulting with top orthopedic surgeons and healthcare professionals from the US and Europe, the unanimous advice is to have the surgery here as soon as possible.

The cost of the surgery is $20,000 USD, and I will be putting all my personal savings toward this operation, which will also involve additional costs for recovery and rehabilitation. However, I still need your support to raise the funds required. It’s been tough to accept, but I’m reaching out for help. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, is deeply appreciated.
