On July 16, I will be participating in the Nantucket Triathlon raising money to benefit SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective. With the recent ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, supporting reproductive justice is more critical than ever.
SisterSong's mission is to strengthen and amplify the collective voices of indigenous women and women of color to achieve reproductive justice by eradicating reproductive oppression and securing human rights. Their work supports women’s human right to lead fully self-determined lives.
While the overturn of Roe v. Wade hurts all women, women of color and those living in conservative states will be disproportionately impacted.

SisterSong is dedicated to growing and supporting the reproductive justice movement particularly in the South to uplift voices and win access to abortion and all other reproductive rights. Their work includes:
- Bringing in and strengthening relations between southern reproductive justice organizations
- Holding and facilitating reproductive justice trainings and workshops
- Creating movement spaces for our leaders, organizers, and activists in the movement to strategize
- Trust Black Women resource days in the community sharing resource sheets with RJ orgs and various shelters for resource awareness
