Morristown & Erie 19
Donation protected
UPDATE: We are keeping our fundraiser open to help 19 get to the next step in its Tri-State career! 19 is headed to Scranton, PA in September to be a featured guest at Railfest 2017. We need your help to get it there. $2500 will help us get her there and back. Lets keep the ball rolling and reach that $10,000 mark!
Morristown & Erie No. 19 has just been saved from scrap by the Tri-State Railway Historical Society. With a generous donation from Liberty Historic Railway, we were able to save the engine, but we need your help to get it moving again. Fortunately for us, No. 19 was put out of service by only a bad wheel set. That means it runs, and with a new pair of wheels we can certify the engine for service. Your contribution to our goal of $5000 will ensure that No. 19 will come to us ready to go, and will stay running for years to come.
The Tri-State Railway Historical Society, Inc. was formed in 1964 as a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the preservation of New Jersey's rich railroad heritage. The group actively restores and operates historic rail equipment, publishes The Block Line magazine and other railroad books, and holds railroad events to involve the public in New Jersey railroad history.
