Tribe Elements Prenatal Care Initiative: Dominican Rep.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the First Annual Tribe Elements' Prenatal Care Initiative, aimed at empowering Haitian and Dominican mothers in need in the Dominican Republic. Our mission is to provide vital support to 25 pregnant and newly postpartum mothers through the healing power of prenatal and postnatal massage therapy and essential maternity supplies.

This initiative has been a dream in the making since my journey began in massage school back in 2018. After a devastating fire in December 2022, which tragically claimed my home and business. I promised that once Tribe Elements was up and running again, it was time to extend our blessings and support to communities in need, both near and far. And the time has come.

This June 2024, we'll be traveling to Mao, Valverde, a small province nestled in the Northwest region of the Dominican Republic, close to the Haitian boarder with its population being a beautiful melting pot of the Haitian-Dominican diaspora. Working closely with Dr. Cruz Disla, who runs the Free clinic pictured here, we'll be collaborating with two additional local free clinics to ensure our services reach the most deserving mothers in need.

Dear friends, we cannot do it alone. We need your support to transform this heartfelt endeavor into a beautiful reality. Your generous contributions will not only enable us to offer rejuvenating prenatal massages but also provide vital starter packets filled with diapers, onesies, wipes, toiletries, bibs, first aid kits, and so much more. Additionally, we aspire to provide a cash stipend to assist with purchasing formula for the newborns, ensuring they receive the nourishment they need to thrive.

Where is your donation going?

1. Newborn Starter kit; Suitcase, toiletries, diapers, wipes, bottles, blankets, onesies, bibs, first aid kit etc.

2. Post partum support kit; postpartum pads, nipple cream, gauze and surgical tape for moms.

3. Cash stipend to support with Formula and clean bottled water.

4. Safe transportation to and from the clinic for the mothers being served.

5. Fresh healthy snacks and beverages during onsite visit.

6. Packaging and shipping cost of items from New York to Mao Valverde.

7. Massage Supplies: Massage table, sheets, pillows, towels, pillowcases, massage oils, pregnancy safe essential oils, fans, privacy screens etc.

8. Daily essentials as needed: Ice, fuel for power generator, laundering of massage sheets and towels, etc.

*None of the money will be used for personal food and lodging.
