Tribute for Expectant Father Killed in Hit & Run
Donation protected
On Wednesday April 10th 2024 my husband Manuel A. Leon lost his life to a hit and run while working in valley center as a traffic stop controller. A witness shared that he tried to stop the person by lifting his stop sign and waving it around back and forth , the person chose to ignore it and proceeded to increase the speed instead of slowing down. My husband was believed to have been brain dead by the time the paramedics got to him. I thank God for the two people that held his hand and prayed for him and told him to fight and hold on, they didn't leave his side and I am forever grateful that my husband was not alone in his last moments. He was the most dedicated husband, father, son, and brother. He was working to provide for our kids to give them everything they could possibly need and want. Every weekend and holiday was dedicated to his family. He left behind a 7 year old princess, 4 year old son and a baby boy due in May who he was very excited to meet. At this moment I ask for prayers for my babies. My family appreciates all the warm messages and donations received from the community.
