Tribute for Paula Fernandes

Hi, my names Ariana I’m making this gofundme for my mother Paula Fernandes

As her daughter, I have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of her funeral expenses. Our family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral, and during this difficult time we are reaching out to the community for help.

Last year in August she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She was scared but determined to put up a fight. She had over gone 3 treatments of chemo but unfortunately the cancer was still growing and she eventually had to stop treatment because it wasn’t helping anymore. My mother put up a great fight, until she couldn’t anymore.

If you know my mom then you know how much of a caring & selfless person she was. She could have nothing and still try to give to someone in need. She was effortlessly selfless and that’s what made her so well liked and such a great person. This is devastating to say the least but I want to give her a great service like she deserved.

Services for my mom will be held Monday July, 25, 2022 between the hours of 11am-1pm at Perry’s Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford Ma, 02740.
