Memorial Fund for Dr. Mike Buch

Friends,

Many of you have now learned that we tragically lost Dr. Mike Buch (“Buchy”) yesterday at 3:30 am from complications related to a stroke he suffered a month ago.

We’re all grieving the untimely death of our friend, but the greatest sense of overwhelming loss is for Karen, Buchy’s wife, and their two daughters, Lauren and Danielle. Karen and Mike were married for 30 years (40 years together) and had built a beautiful life together as they raised their family in Hawaii, the east coast, and, most recently, the Rocky Mountains of Utah. Our hearts go out to Karen and the girls as they begin the next chapter of their lives without their husband, father, and best friend.

Buchy was very special to many people. Those who knew him best loved his big heart full of compassion for people and animals, his infectious laugh and sense of humor, and his brilliant scientific mind. He was very thoughtful of the details of the lives of his friends and family, and was always willing to listen to you with wise (and funny) counsel.

We’re asking for Buchy’s friends and family to donate to Karen and the girls to help cover medical bills and funeral expenses. The family is extremely grateful for any and all donations. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
