Tribute to Larry Lang

In 1947 an old school house was moved into Worthington, Mn and a chicken restaurant was "hatched"   Two years later Michael Lang bought the Chicken restaurant  and Michaels Spaghetti House  was started.  In 1956  Michael changed the name to Michaels Steak House and a Worthington institution was born! Michaels became known far and wide for their famous aged steaks, spaghetti, endless baskets of garlic bread and of course our favorite host......Larry ......who kept our water glasses up to the brim  and coffee cups full!  

Larry was diagnosed with Alzheimer's several years ago and now at the age of 65 he needs our help.  To all the kids who worked at Michaels during school vacations and to all of us who enjoyed great dinners  at Michaels now is our chance to thank Larry.  Larry is still at home {remember the green house behind the restaurant?) but cannot be left alone.  His sister Linda is his sole caregiver around the clock.  Larry doesn't respond to much but every once in a while a smile can be coaxed.......mentioning his trombone brought a flash of a  grin to his face! 

Larry's birthday is September 15th and it would be wonderful if we could do a little pay back for all the wonderful times he gave us!  Friday nights after the football games,  anniversary celebrations, family gatherings and so so many more events in all our lives.
