Support for Patty Booker

Hi Friends,

I am one of the daughters of long time musician, singer/song-writer Patty Booker. For decades my mother shared her talents writing songs from her heart and performing them on stage. I don't remember a time where a guitar or bass wasn't in hand and tagging along to as many gigs as I could. (At least the ones they'd let me into before being 21yrs)

Many of you may have noticed the performances slowing down over the last few years and becoming fewer & far between. This is because my mother was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia. This was a slow diagnosis and it took some time to figure out what was going on considering she's very young to have a disease like this. But over the past two years things have rapidly sped up. My mother has problems with day to day tasks. She can no longer do anything administrative or live on her own and the symptoms continue to progress rapidly. We are not a society that has very many resources for our elders or people suffering from this severe disease. In fact, this is still a disease the medical fields are trying to figure out. All this being said, we are making an effort to help set money aside for the onset of medical help she is going to require.

Some of you may already be aware of the beautiful tribute album that was put together by long time musicians & friends of my mothers. This album is set to release Feb 9th (her birthday) for download and/or physical copy. She will get the proceeds from the first 1,000 copies sold which is wonderful! BUT if you choose or would like to donate more than just the purchase of an album here is where you can do it. All donations will go directly into a trust to assist with her medical expenses.
