Tricia Maguire's Medical Bill Fund

This Go Fund Me is for Patricia Maguire, mother, grandmother, animal lover, and all-around wonderful person. Tricia, a long-time resident of Richmond, VA, has for years lived with diabetes. She changed her diet, her whole approach to health, and seemed to be doing fine living with her condition. Then, two weeks ago, her son Brian came home to find her unconscious. Tricia was rushed to the hospital where she was put on a ventilator and doctors determined she suffered a stroke. Tricia proved a tough fighter. She regained consciousness after a few days and came home from the hospital after only a week. Her next goal is to return to work. Still, recovery will be long and slow. 

Tricia's personal situation puts her in the "gap" where she can't afford insurance benefits, but also doesn't qualify for Medicaid. As with nearly anyone in her situation, staying on top of all these expenses in the midst of a long income interruption is nearly impossible. We have not yet established a full level of needed help, but have an initial guess of $20,000 to help with her medical bills and keep a roof over her head during this time.
