Tricia's Fight for Life!

Tricia is my only daughter and is 31 years old.  She was diagnosed with a rare form of MDS:  Myelodysplastic  Syndrome with Acute Myeloid Leukemia Secondary with poor prognosis.  She desperately needs a bone marrow transplant in order to save her life. Without one, there is a life expectancy of ONLY two years.  It is extremely important to receive the transplant before this turns into leukemia which could be fatal.  Tricia will be treated at Lutheran General Hospital and  the financial burden will be tremendous.  Funds are needed for medical treatments, and medical transportation ASAP, and her caregivers will be unable to work in order to help care for her.  Her treatments should begin in Jan 2018 before this progresses to AML.  We are also currently looking for bone marrow donors.  Tricia is entered into the world-wide donor database. This is going to be a tough battle for her life!  She is looking forward to the day when her condition is cured and she can live a normal life once again, but each and every day so far has been heartbreaking and extremely difficult...emotionally and mentally.  She is currently receiving Neupogen and Procrit injections to keep her energy level up, but once these shots wear off, she becomes very weak, lightheaded and nauseous.  She requires 12 -13 hours of sleep to get through the day and is struggling to work 18 hours a week.  As time goes on, it's getting harder and harder to work and do normal activities.  She knows her condition is worsening as the days pass.  Again, my only daughter is 31 years YOUNG!  We hope and pray every day that she has a long life to live.  No parents want to see their child sick with a diagnosis of a terminal illness! The doctors tell us that this is rare for her age group and needs treatment as a high-risk case. Doctor suspects that she was exposed to something that caused this to manifest.  Any amount of money raised here will help her family pay for the tremendously high costs of chemo as well as anything else she may need to provide comfort and healing.  Your heartfelt donation is very much appreciated!
