Trina Shanaman - Hit By Truck While Running

Hello everyone,

My name is Timberlee and I am Trina's sister. In an attempt to help Trina and Duke during this tragedy, we are asking for your help to assist them with expenses.

Trina and Duke had traveled from Eugene Oregon to Maui to assist his father with moving back to the mainland.

As an avid runner, Trina was out the morning of the 18th., and was coming through the Ma'alaea shops in Ma'alaea when she was blindsided by a truck. Trina was hit and run over by the vehicle causing major injuries from head to toe. She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Maui Memorial Medical Center.

The good news - she made it through the accident and the golden hour and is still with us. She is showing signs of improvement and we are very thankful. As Christians, all of your prayers are encouraged and cherished.

We are asking for your financial help for my sister, your friend and fellow runner during her hour of need. Accidents are unexpected but the aftermath and financial impact is very real. They don't yet know how long until she will be strong enough to fly home to Oregon, they anticipate a couple of months. Every bit helps when faced with mounting medical bills, and the outrageous cost of living in Hawaii.

Their family could use your help in getting the word out to her friends and fellow runners as well as caring people out there in a position to help.

All funds will go directly to Trina to help with their unforeseen and mounting out-of-pocket expenses.
