Trinh Tran’s Kidney Transplant

About a year ago, my sister Trinh Tran at age 24 was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy. This is a rare autoimmune disease which makes the body attack its own kidneys and ultimately causes renal failure. Unfortunately, we found out extremely late and as of right now our sister has about 10% of her kidney function left. We are desperately trying to avoid hemodialysis in order for her to live a fulfilling life but also to avoid complications and risk factors associated with dialysis. Our sister Trinh is a compassionate and extremely bright individual that is in the process to apply to Physician Assistant school and still has so much ahead of her that she would like to achieve sometime in her near future. However, due to her medical condition it has hindered her ability to pursue her true passion of helping others in the medical field as everything has come to a halt in order to make sure her health is taken care of. We hope to find her a suitable transplant donor in the family or outside the family so she can live a longer and better life. Currently, we have already gone through the full process and getting ready to begin finding donors for a kidney transplant. Due to the large insurance costs we are having trouble receiving the proper funds in order to get our immediate family tested and prospective donors to see if they are suitable donors. Our family desperately needs all the help and funding in order to keep her well and healthy for the rest of our lives.
