Trinity Kellum Wheelchair Van Fund
Donation protected
Trinity Kellum was born with Holoprosencephaly. a genetic disorder where the brain does not develop normally in utero. Among other symptoms she has restricted mobility and must rely on a wheelchair. She is nine years old and as she grows it is more difficult for her family to travel with her to her many doctor's appointments and in the community. Transporting Trinity involves getting her out of the wheelchair, putting her in the car seat, and putting the wheelchair in their vehicle, all of which becomes more difficult as she grows.
To protect Trinity and her family from being injured in the process of transporting her, a wheelchair van is needed to facilitate travel. Unfortunately, even used wheelchair vans are quite expensive, running far more than a regular vehicle.
Acquiring a suitable vehicle will not only make necessary medical travel easier but allow Trinity to connect more with her community. She enjoys being around people, and reliable transport would greatly improve her overall quality of life.
This campaign is part of a collective effort by the Rock Springs Woman's Club to raise money for the van.
