My name is Trinity. I love live music, traveling, watching sports (WHO DAT!), my job, and my family and friends.
My world was rocked in February 2015 when a CT scan turned up tumors of varying size in my spleen, liver, and lungs. After a month of pathologists scratching their heads, I was finally diagnosed with stage IV angiosarcoma, an extremely rare and highly aggressive cancer of the inner lining of the blood vessels. The disease is so rare (approximately 300 new cases per year worldwide) little is known about why it occurs or how to successfully treat it. The doctors and specialists I visited seem to agree on only one thing: that I will not be here in five years. My mission in life is to prove them wrong.
I do have pretty good health insurance through that job I love, but it is difficult to keep up with the out of pocket expenses. Despite having cut way back I am finding there is little left to enjoy even the simple things I used to. I will work as long as I am able to, but with the future so uncertain I am hoping I can get some help towards the next couple of years' worth of insurance premiums, copays, and out of pocket costs. For example, just one chemo treatment runs in the hundreds of dollars.
I have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support I have received to date. I would be forever appreciative if you are able to contribute any amount to my fund. If you are not, I would be honored if you would please keep me in your thoughts and (if you're so inclined) in your prayers.
Thank you,
Trinity
