Trip To Kenya To Volunteer With African Adventures.

Being an African child myself who has had the opportunity to elevate my life by relocating to the UK, l can somewhat understand the struggles of these kids in Kenya which is why I am very keen in being of help in the best way I can. Ghana where I come from faces similar situations which is why I was moved to be a part of this project to help the people of Kenya. I knew this trip was for me when I heard the colleges advertisement. I always told myself once I am able to come out of the struggles of an African child, I will be a source of motivation and help to all other African children. I am Le-Roy, an 18 year old student living in the UK. I was downhearted when it came to my notice the amount of children experiencing hardship in Kenya, no education, no shelter and most ghastly of all no food. Which is why I decided to embark on this journey when I got selected by Middlesbrough College with the help of African Adventures to be of aid to the people of Kenya specifically Nairobi. The purpose for this trip is to help the dreams of the less privileged children to life.
What is African Adventures all about?
African Adventures is a unique travel company, partnered with 29 schools in developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar, and organize life-changing trips for people who want to help bring their work to life. They pride themselves on their ethical, sustainable volunteering model that puts their partner schools at the heart of everything they do. The schools tell African Adventures what help they want, and African Adventures recruit volunteers from the UK and beyond to make it happen.
