Hey, my name is Amanda and I have been very close friends with Trish since 2001. We were high school best friends, we met our husbands during our last year of high school (2004) and the 4 of us even went to prom together (Trish, Ed, Me, and my husband Dave).

I am starting this GoFundMe to help take a little bit of the burden off of Ed during this extremely difficult time--- as he starts this journey of her final expenses. The beneficiary of this memorial fund is her loving husband, Edward Cooney.

Trish very unexpectedly passed away at home on the evening of 2/27/23. She laid down, fell asleep, and never woke back up. So many of us are shocked and devastated. Ed is totally and completely heartbroken. His entire world has crashed and now Ed, along with their parents (Mary, Lisa & Ed Sr), must navigate the process of laying their sweet girl to rest.

I don't even know where to begin describing how amazing Trish was --- but anyone that knew her, knew she had the biggest heart. Her first love has always been her Mom. She was so proud of her Mom and how strong her Mom was raising her on her own. Her second love and biggest love of her life was Ed. Trish and Ed met through drum corps and knew each other well before they started officially dating in October 2004, their senior year of high school. They were inseparable ever since.

They got married in a beautiful catholic ceremony on June 13th, 2015. Trish and Ed were best friends, both not ever wanting to live without the other. Trish always GUSHED about Ed, how much he loved her, and how hard he worked for their family. They spent the last 7 years of their marriage working hard, traveling around, spending time with family and friends, praying for IVF to help them start their family, and loving on their sweet pomsky pup, Bailey.

She was a fighter. She had been through multiple car accidents throughout her short years and always came back stronger. Her biggest fight was with severe endometriosis. Trish's dream was always to become a Mom, and this illness derailed all of that for her. But she was NOT going to give up. Trish and Ed openly fought infertility for years. She was so determined and so hopeful that their time would come. They were more recently discussing options for surrogacy and for adoption. Trish and Ed had the BIGGEST hearts and parenthood would have suited them perfectly.

Through the pain of infertility, there was also the excruciating pain of endometriosis. She opened my eyes to this disease and how awful and debilitating it can be. Trish was so damn strong. She fought through it all. She called herself an EndoWarrior and that she was!! She openly talked about it with anyone and was happy to bring awareness to the awful disease.

With this GoFundMe, I hope to take a tiny bit of burden off of the family as they go through all the financial strain and stress that goes along with planning such an unexpected loss. This will help with the last expenses of a funeral and services to honor her. As well as hopefully provide a little cushion for them to order food or anything else they may need to get through this awful time.

Mary, Ed, Lisa & Ed Sr would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone for all the outpouring of love & support that has already been shown. It means so much more than you'll ever know.

Information about services will be updated once things are set.
