Help Trish on Her Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Donovan Prior. On Tuesday, April 25th, I watched the lives of my wife, and my brother and sister-in-law shatter. My mother-in-law, Trisha Lizotte, suffered a life-altering stroke that devastated us all.
Trish is 59 years old. She is such a beautiful human being, loved by everyone she meets. She is gentle, loving, caring, and kind hearted. She is an amazing mother to her three kids, but what she loves even more than being a mother, is being a grandmother. Her three grandkids are her entire life and she is theirs. There is nothing that Trish wouldn't do for her family. In the past seven years with my wife, I have watched Trish overcome so many obstacles, including a three-year battle with breast cancer, which she fought and WON. Despite all of the hardships, she took control of her life, worked her ass off, and achieved her goal of becoming a store manager at Dollar Tree. She deserves for us to now work our asses off for her. It’s confusing how the most tragic things can happen to the best of people.
Trish suffered a major left MCA stroke. Which has left her right side paralyzed and the inability to speak. When she was first air-lifted to IU Methodist on Tuesday, they performed a Thrombectomy, where the doctors removed the blood clot from her brain through her groin. Her condition worsened overnight and on Wednesday she was rushed into surgery where they performed a craniectomy. A craniectomy is a surgery done to remove a part of your skull to relieve pressure in that area when your brain swells. She is currently in the ICU with a very long road to recovery ahead of her.

All the money donated will help her children cover all of her medical costs, rehabilitation therapy, and any extensive long-term care that she may need. She will be coming home to my wife and I's home when it is time for her to, and we will all have to navigate this new normal. This is something that my wife and her family have never had to go through and ANY burden of financial stress that we can relieve them of would help.
I will update everyone every step of the way of this very difficult journey. THANK YOU.
