Trista and Josh’s heart Journey

Hi, my name is Abby Wallin (Smith) and I set up this go fund me to support my dear friend and her husband as they navigate a recent diagnosis of heart failure for Josh. Josh Armstrong is 37 and in St Boniface hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba as they try to keep his body functioning as it should. At this time, they have been told his heart will not recover on its own. Next steps are to insert a device to help his heart pump until possibly a heart transplant. They have a long road and journey ahead of them. As Trista, Josh and their 3 little kids navigate this new reality, they need some time as a family to love and support each other. With Josh unable to work due to his declining health and Trista juggling their kids and supporting Josh, they could really use the support of friends, family, and community to make sure that their bills get paid and so that Trista can have some of her costs covered to stay in Winnipeg with Josh at times when he needs her most. They both pride themselves on their work effort so this is really tough for them to accept. Let’s prove that the power of love and support comes to those in need.
