Strong flames quickly took over as an aggressive fire consumed a burning home on Little Bay Avenue in Willoughby Spit - Norfolk, Virginia - on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Inside, firefighters found an 8-month old baby boy who had succumbed to the fire.
As a result of the fire, Miss Trista Navey has suffered the lost her precious son, her family’s home and all of their belongings.
Changing Lives Magazine, an outreach publication of Impact Church located in Norfolk, Virginia has created a two week Personal Cause Fundraising Campaign on GoFund Me in order to raise money to help Miss Navey and her family cover Memorial Service expenses, living expenses, food and basic daily-need expenses.
Miss Navey, still severely affected by the loss of her son, has not been able to work since the tragedy took place. In the effort of making an impact on community members and in keeping with one of the goals of Impact Church to help people win spiritually, emotionally and financially, Changing Lives Magazine has selected Miss Trista Navey to be the recipient of the GoFund Me personal cause campaign. She will be given all funds donated to the Campaign which will run from Thursday, March 12 through Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
The sum total of all monies donated to the Trista Navey Fundraising Campaign will be given to Miss Navey on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 1:30 PM at the Changing Lives Magazine release celebration to be held at 1066 Norview Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia 23513.
