Help Tristan’s school experience Christmas!
Donation protected
‘Tristan’s’ is a small school where local kids attend aged from 2-8. There are two small classrooms, dividing kids up into the nursery and years 1-3. These kids all live locally in high areas of poverty, and often can come to school without basics such as socks, underwear or shoes. However, despite this, these kids are always bright and eager to learn, and are incredibly happy.
Throughout the last year, the classrooms have been painted and supplied with a new whiteboard, supplies and desks/chairs. All this has been done through volunteers from Plan My Gap Year.
We would love to spread the Christmas cheer and give the kids a surprise before they go on their Christmas break. On Friday the 22nd of December we are hoping to gift 30 children with their own “Christmas present,” filled with toys and a small treat. With these kids having so little, we are hoping that throwing a little celebration will go a long way. This Christmas celebration will also provide the kids with lunch for the day.
On top of this, any leftover money we have will be going towards buying clothes and diapers for the children at the local orphanage, most of whom are disabled or are infants. This will be also done on Friday the 22nd and will hopefully assist in helping the orphanage over the Christmas period.
Any donations would be highly appreciated!
