About Us:

We are Triton Droids, the first and only Humanoid Robotics Club at UCSD, founded by a passionate team of engineering students. Our mission? To build a fully functional humanoid robot by 2026 and revolutionize the field of robotics! We believe that humanoid robots have the potential to address global production disparities, empower local industries, and create a more equitable future. Our vision is to develop low-cost, adaptable humanoid robots that can be deployed in diverse environments, bridging the gap in technological access worldwide.

Our Big Hairy Goal:

In a world where access to technology, capital, and cheap labor creates economic inequalities, Triton Droids is on a mission to level the playing field. We’re working on a prototype that can disrupt traditional production models, allowing underserved regions to compete globally and break cycles of poverty. Our humanoid robots will enable industries in any part of the world to flourish—no matter their access to capital or technology.
