Bandit is the latest candidate in the Trooper Medical Sagas. While she is the epitome of haughtiness, Bandy has suffered a myriad of complications since kittenhood that have permanently compromised her overall health.  This little diva has endured multiple staph infections, resultant surgeriesm year-long recoveries and Gingivostomatitis.  Recently Bandit has contracted Haemobartonellosis. It is a tick transmitted (and sometimes flea transmitted) disease. It causes depression, loss of appetite, and dehydration. If severe, the anemia could result in weight loss, pale mucous membranes, weakness, fast heart and respiratory rates, jaundice, and death. Bandit has a severe case of haemobartonellosis. Her white blood cell count was over 36,000. Normal counts are around 19,000. She was anemic, dehydrated and failing.  Emergency ICU hospitalization has stabilized my girl and after 4 days they have managed to improve her disposition and her blood count is down to 24,000, but still a long way to go.  Bandy is improving but we need your help as after 4 days her ICU hospitalization bill is already @ $1000 with no end in sight.  Throughout this ordeal Bandit has maintained her sweet demeanor and even though gravely ill is still chirping love notes to her caretakers.  Please consider a donation to get our girl on the fast path to recovery so we can get her home again where she belongs.
