Our International Adoption Journey from Bulgaria

Our Story:

 

Hey there!

We are so thankful that you are taking a few minutes to read about the exciting news that is happening with our family.

During these past few years, we have had a desire to add to our family. Along the way we have experienced some hardships as we've walked through a miscarriage and hormonal issues that had left us with questions about a way forward in growing our family. We had honestly wrestled with the story that God was writing in our lives with this area.

Over these past few months, the idea of adoption had become very real to us as a family. Through much prayer and thought, we have begun the journey of international adoption. We have partnered with an agency out of the Cortland, New York area that has relationships directly with the country of Bulgaria. This is a 12-18 month process that we are endeavoring upon as a family.

In order to write this story for our family and the child(ren) that God has for us, we need the partnership of our community to continue to write this next chapter. We are humbly asking for your partnership in three ways:

1) Share - Share this link via social media (FB, Instagram, etc), through email, or however you communicate. This will allow us to encourage someone who is/has walked down similar roads or for us to learn from others who've gone before us in this journey.

2) Give - We would be grateful for your financial partnership as this is an over $45,000+ adoption process. This includes the Provider fees, clearances, travel to and accommodations in Bulgaria for two trips, and the country fees toadopt our child(ren). We will also be pursuing grants from organizations that assist adoptive families and part timework to support this process. Any financial gift is a blessing that we'd be grateful for.

3) Pray - Prayer is the foundation that this journey is rooted in. It started out in prayer and will be carried through in prayer. We are overjoyed for this chapter but understand there will be new realities and dynamics we experience along the way. We as a couple need prayer for wisdom and discernment in navigating this journey. Our family will need prayer to understand and prepare well for the changes that we will experience. Lastly, please pray for the child(ren)'s hearts as they will be walking towards a new story as well.
