Tom and Debbie Trowbridge Memorial Fund

Donation protected
On October 18, 2022, Tom and Debbie Trowbridge passed away on their 42nd anniversary.

Tom was a building inspector for Martin County for many years, retiring from his position just a few years ago. He was so much to so many people, and above all, a servant of the Lord and beloved by his community. Debbie was a teacher in Martin County for many years touching the lives of many of our children, and a community member who always asked what she (they) could do to help. Their hearts were golden, their love for God was pure, and their family and our community are still stunned at this loss.

Rod and Katie, their twins, are trying to put one foot in front of the other as nobody expects to lose both parents at once. Their parents’ faith, combined with the love they had for one another, are what is holding Rod and Katie together. Tom and Debbie’s nine-year-old grandson, Van, was also their pride and joy and “the apple of their eye”. They often spent time watching Van after school and during the summer. They enriched Van’s life – exposing him to camps, art (their entire family is artistically-gifted), and sailing, etc. Tom and Deb were “the world” to Van and their absence is sorely felt by him as well.

This memorial fund will help provide for the “Celebration of Life” service for Tom and Debbie as they were known far and wide in this community and South Florida. Funding will also aid in the maintenance of the Trowbridge home; camps and afterschool care for Van in the coming years – including Christmas and summer breaks – and any additional funds will be placed in a scholarship fund for Van.

Please consider donating to make life a little bit easier for the Trowbridge family. More importantly, consider slowing down on the roads and live a life that would please your maker. That would make Tom and Debbie smile from heaven, indeed.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
