Troy Hoefer & Family

As many of you know Troy (my best friend Ashley's husband) and his family have been facing his battle with stage 4 colon cancer for the last 19th months. After multiple rounds of chemo, radiation treatments and so many prescriptions Troy has been referred to a doctor at the Cleveland clinic in Weston Florida. Troy recently met with Dr. Pinna in Florida and the doctor is ready to hit the ground running. They will start with a resection of the part of his colon that had the cancer, and then several days later reconstruct his colon. Once he has healed from this depending on if he gets a live donor or not he will then have either a surgery to resect the tumors on one lobe of his liver and then once healed from that they will do the same procedure to the other lobe. However if we do find a live donor the doctor will just perform a complete liver transplant. All of this is amazing news and the next steps to the rest of his life. He is a fighter, and I believe he will fight through this with his family's love and our prayers. However this will all come at a cost and require multiple trips down to Florida with each trip lasting several days. So as you can imagine the cost to travel, stay and food during all of this will become quite a lot. Please help this family and Troy to lessen the burden and make these next steps as easy and smooth as possible. As always the family is so grateful for all of your continued prayers, love and support.
