Troy Moen Cancer

Hi, my name is Mike Moen and I am raising funds for my son Troy Aaron Moen as Cancer has decided to try and slow down his career in professional baseball! A month or so ago he went to the ER for what he thought was Kidney stones and they discovered the stones but as well as bump in his abdomen so they did an emergency Colonoscopy which showed 5 extremely large Palyups in his stomach which Drs thought may be cancerous so they sent him to University hospital in Tampa for an Endoscopy to break up Palyups as well as the stones. The Endoscopy did not work so they tried laser surgery which after 8 hours finally worked. It was discovered that they were in fact cancerous. The good news is they detected it early so he should be able to beat it. The bad news is it is a very aggressive form of gastric cancer but his body is fighting it very well the Dr said. He has undergone 3 sessions of Chemotherapy and an additional Endoscopy. He still needs at least 1 more Chemo sessions and another Endoscopy. The Chemo has left him very weak and sick. He has lost nearly 40 lbs in a month. He was in training getting ready to go to Spring Training in Arizona the end of this month (Feb). He was working as a lab tech for an eye Dr when this happened but he had not worked there long enough to be covered with health benefits. With the Chemo he is unable to work so it is taking it's toll both physically and mentally for him as well as his sister who he is staying with while he is in Florida. As you can imagine this has taken drastic effects against his finances along with his sisters and myself as well.
