Troy Orsini

Thank you for visiting the Orsini Family fund. As many of you may know, the Orsini family has been going through a very difficult time. Troy Orsini is a 49 year old loving father and husband. He was tested positive for COVID-19 back on March 30th and was told to stay home and quarantine. Unfortunately, Troy did get worse he had a fever for a week straight and developed worsening symptoms that required him to be transported by ambulance to St Mary’s hospital where he was urgently intubated and placed on a Ventilator. He developed bilateral pneumonia from the virus that also turned into bacterial pneumonia which caused major stress and damage to his lungs. They trialed many different medications but unfortunately they did not work for him. He soon developed septic shock and his blood pressure dropped significantly to the point where he was only holding on by a thread. He developed stage 5 kidney failure and was slowly worsening. At that point our family knew he was fighting for his life. The doctors told us he maybe had only 24-48 hours of holding on like this because he was very unstable and critically ill. St Mary’s hospital found a match and Troy recently received the plasma a few days following. They also introduced dialysis. After roughly a week of uncertainty he became stable again. He is currently still on the ventilator after 39 days fighting for his life. Our hope is that he will continue to fight and come home. If so, the doctors have mentioned multiple times this is going to be a long hard recovery for him.

The emotional toll on Karen, his wife, and Samantha, his daughter, and the entire family is unimaginable. This fund has been created to help the Orsini family through this very difficult time. Thank you so much for your generosity and god bless you. Stay safe and stay healthy.
