Medical bills from motorcycle wreck

My wife and I recently moved to southwestern Missouri,   Dumping practically all we had in our new house.  Last Saturday, May 2nd, I high sided a high bank turn, caught the lip of the road and crashed into a field. 

I sustained relatively minor injuries .....cracked ribs, collarbone,  abrasions  and contusions......but she broke her arm at the elbow, and the surgery isn't elective, the arm needs to be surgically fixed so she can retain most of her movement......

we we have no doctor, we were both " downsized" by companies that were trying to cut costs and Gwen we applied for the affordable care act the cost of that insurance was more than I make.  The cheap plans did not offer comprehensive coverage, and the deductibles would exceed 12000 dollars plus a co pay of 30%.

so we went without, which at our age is a real gamble anyway.  We did purchase "full coverage" on the motorcycle but found out today that State Farm covers everything except personal injury.  My wife assumed it was, since it was sold as full coverage but the agent neglected to inform her of that little omission. 

We are asking for your generosity because we simply cannot afford to pay the hospital, sugeons, nurses,  ambulance, radiology ( x-rays and cat scans as a "precaution") plus the ER visit by both of us.  We do t gave the funds, and she is frantic on what will happen. 

I suggested GFM and she refused to even consider it.  That's why I am creating this at this late hour......so perhaps, with your help should you choose, I can take care of a lot of this without her knowing.  I need you at this very frustrating time......

the 18500 is before the other bills come in, and if they too are monumental! I will adjust the goal accordingly.  If I have any left, I will pay it forward.   This was/is very difficult for me to ask of you and your generosity. I realize my  place in the grand scheme of things is relatively minor compared to others on here. 

But but I need to get my wife's life back without future years of trying to pay those bills off.....but regardless of the outcome here, I will pay them, even if it takes ten years.  We are both in our sixties and unable to reasonably expect to be hired for a new job.  

I sincerely hope that my heartfelt plea for assistance is noticed by some of you and that you can help.  I have never asked for anything like this before, but I have faith in my fellow humans.  Thank you for reading and keep my wife in your prayers.  I appreciate you all.
