Dear Friends,
We at St. Luke School are coordinating an effort to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
St. Luke School has been in communication with the Superintendent of the Archdiocese of Beaumont schools. She was reduced to tears as she described the devastation. They have five parish schools - two are uninhabitable and three sustained dramatic damage.
Our community schools are joining together in compassionate support for the families of the Archdiocese of Beaumont, Texas who have been affected by the devastation of the recent hurricane.
It is our mission to fill more of the immediate needs for these families during this time of crisis and families have been invited to join in this effort by contributing cleaning supplies.
These items will be collected at St. Luke School. Maria Goslin, St. Luke School STEM teacher and her husband, Lloyd, along with Mrs. Atilano, a former St. Luke School parent and parishioner, will be driving to Beaumont to deliver our combined collections next weekend.
Please help to fund their travels: U-HAUL, gas, and accomodations. We hope to raise the money needed by this Friday! Any extra money raised will be turned into gift cards to Target and Walmart for the families to spend according to their needs.
“Christ has no body but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, yours are the eyes with which he looks compassion on this world, Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good, Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world…” -St. Teresa of Avila
Thank you for your loving support!
