In memory of Trudy Tran Caswell

It is with deep sadness that I share the news of Trudy Tran Caswell passing from cancer on Oct. 19th with her loving family by her side.

Her unexpected cancer diagnosis just six weeks ago shocked her family, friends, colleagues, and Trudy herself. Trudy bravely fought this battle with cancer to the very end. She will be missed tremendously by so many people.

Trudy leaves behind her beloved husband, Steve, her children, Jaedon and Krowe, her mother and father, her four siblings, and their families. Trudy cherished being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunt; nothing was more important than caring for and spending time with her family.

Trudy was truly a valued member of the Salesforce family. She started her Salesforce career eight years ago, in BT, leading a team of Product Managers and Product/Business Systems Analysts for the Quote to Cash processes and systems. I met Trudy in 2018 when she joined T&P’s Infrastructure Services Engineering organization as a TPM leader, successfully driving the delivery of the SFCD platform on Hyperforce. Trudy joined Tableau in 2021 to drive significant, cross-functional, go-to-market initiatives across Tableau marketing and the Global Brand Creative team. Most recently, Trudy led the Marketing Operations initiatives teams focused on delivering high-value strategic programs.

Trudy was an active member of several equality groups, and no matter how busy she was, she still carved out time in her busy schedule to organize toy drives during the holidays or plan a speaker panel for the Salesforce Women’s Network.

Trudy was not only a great friend but a mentor and coach to many. She had a unique passion for her work and unmatched courage, strength, and determination. She genuinely cared for her teammates and often went above and beyond to help others. She loved working at Salesforce, and her dedication to this company can be summed up by her determination to be in the office with her team by navigating the chaos of pre-pandemic BART daily (after foot surgery) on a knee walker.

As Trudy’s friend and colleague, I ask that you consider donating to support Steve, Jaedon, and Krowe during this challenging time. Your contribution will assist in covering the funeral, memorial, and medical expenses they face.

We are truly grateful for your compassion and generosity, and ask that you keep her entire family in your thoughts as they navigate this difficult journey.
