Truffles' Diagnosis

Donation protected
Hello!

If you have stumbled upon this story I am already thankful that you are taking the time to read about my sweet pup and his current needs.

I honestly would have never thought I would end up here, but here I am with an open mind and hope you will have an open heart and help me with this unexpected expense that I am not able to afford at the moment.

Truffles Story Begins Here:
Truffles is my sweet 5-year-old chocolate toy poodle who's pretty much my everything.

Although Truffles is still running around and playing with those extra squeaky toys he has recently had some health scares which have taken a toll on my mental health and wallet.

To make this story short and to the point, Truffles is needing to see a urologist due to the nature of a couple of urinalysis results he's recently had. It started with a couple UTI's and then within a few months, the doctor noticed an increase in transitional cells in his urine. The doctor's diagnosis and use of wording for his issues have left me confused and still with no answers. All in all, there was the conversation of it maybe being cancer but they can't determine it themselves, so that is why they are referring me over to a urologist at the NC State Vet School.

Thankfully I live locally so I am able to take him to this urologist and have them run diagnostics on Truffles, but I cannot currently afford what the range is set to be for this first appointment ($1500-$2500). At this appointment (August 30), I will hopefully get answers and treatment for whatever it may be.

In between all of this he has also been experiencing seizures which first started last year and weren't considered frequent enough for meds since the meds are something he will have to take for the rest of his life once he starts. From June 14 to June 22 he experienced another 2  seizures so now it has become more serious. He has had bloodwork (normal) done, but there is no real explanation other than having to wait to see if he will have another seizure, which is honestly the worst thing I've had to witness because I literally cannot do anything while he is experiencing it.

Right now I have the option to get a BRAF test from my local vet to see if he in fact has a certain type of cancer (TCC) and that test alone costs about $300.

Here's How You Can Help:
Truffles appointment at NC State with the urologist is scheduled for August 30 which is almost around the corner so I am hoping to raise at least a portion of it so that I will not have to accumulate any more credit card debt. The total amount accounts for his visit, testing, and possible treatment.

Truffles is my first dog and although I know we have to say goodbye to our pets at some point I am not ready to do that yet and want to be able to get him whatever diagnostics he needs to live his life fully.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and donating. This is truly something I would have never thought of doing for myself, but this little dog means everything to me and has been with me through a lot of rough patches in my life. I would be truly grateful for any financial contribution that you are able to make.
