Truitt's Heart -- air flight medical expenses
Donation protected
Two years ago, our family was blessed with this baby boy, Truitt Aaron Herrick. His parents were preparing to bring him home when a problem with his aortic valve was discovered. Joy quickly turned to fear. Truitt was transported to Children's Medical Center in Denver by helicopter. He has had two procedures to inflate the aortic valve and his echocardiograms are showing that the pressure in his heart is stable. But cardiologists also have said that a complete valve replacement may be in his future.
My niece and nephew-in-law are hard-working, compassionate people who are great parents raising children who will contribute to society in positive ways. Truitt has two older brothers and an older sister. Jeremy and Rashae both have jobs, have health insurance and they always try to do the right thing.
They recently got a bill for Truitt's helicopter ride and interest is compounding daily. Insurance paid $19,000, but there is $45,000 left. They hate asking for help, but none of this is easy. If there are funds left over, they will be donated to The Children's Heart Foundation.
In the meantime, we are all loving on Truitt and each other.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
