T.RUST FUNDraiser for Travis Rust's Family

Travis Rust truly lived every day of his life, bringing light and energy to the people he surrounded himself with. His positive attitude was contagious and his high level of energy was unparalleled. He loved spending time with his mother, Laurette, his sister Rachel, his girlfriend Kristi and his wide circle of friends throughout the Ninja community and beyond.

Travis was a master of mobility and movement, he explored everything from yoga to martial arts, strength training to rock climbing and of course, his passion, Ninja Warrior. Travis continually challenged himself to reach new goals physically, mentally and intellectually, while simultaneously and effortlessly pouring himself into others. His fun-loving energy, passion for health and wellness and comprehensive knowledge of body movement was the perfect combination for training clients and coaching his young Ninja Warrior students. Travis treated all of his students as he would his own children, and fostered a bond with them that was lasting and unique.

Travis had big goals, he wanted to get married and have children, he often spoke about looking forward to being a dad and husband. He dreamed of starting his own business and helping his mother retire. Travis was starting to put all the pieces together for the next phase of his life when tragedy struck.

On August 29th Travis started his day like any other day, a coaching session with Ninja students, followed by a sunny afternoon at the river with friends. He was on his way home for dinner with his roommates when he was struck and killed by a car that failed to yield at an intersection.

Unfortunately, the driver was uninsured and driving a rental car. The driver of the vehicle also has no assets to lay claim against and the rental car company has made no attempt to offer any compensation to Travis' family. It will be months, if not years, before the driver will appear in court to be held accountable for his actions.

Travis was only 29 and did not have a will or estate documents. While grieving the loss of her beloved son, Laurette is tasked with hiring lawyers to sort out the details of the accident and estate matters. His family has to manage the unanticipated costs of cremation along with retaining probate lawyers and personal injury lawyers to explore claims against the driver and rental car company.

Please help support his family as they navigate this indescribably difficult time in their lives by donating to Travis’ Go Fund Me.
