TruTravels 2024 Fundraiser

Donation protected
When we say life-changing experiences, we don't just mean our tours. Think bigger and better! We are the positive change we want to see in the world. From our suppliers, local communities and staff around the world, we put this big beautiful earth at the centre of everything we do from helping to rebuild schools in The Philippines to donating 1% of all TruTravels sales to local charities big and small around the world.

Our vision is to unite people, companies and charities from all walks of life, with the common goal of reducing the current global equality divide. We feel, no matter where you are from, everyone has a social responsibility to help make the world a better place. So let's do it together TruFam. Our goal is to change as many people's lives through travel as possible; Please have a read of our current on going projects and with your help we will have upcoming projects in more destinations around the world from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka! If you've got any ideas or charities you'd like us to get involved in, please give us a shout through our socials at @trutravels.

Isla Island Education Centre

The students of Darocotan Island (where we visit on our Philippines Island Hopper tour) have to travel 10-20 mins by boat to get to school every single morning. During the wet season, bad weather causes the students to miss school because it is unsafe to take the boats across the ocean. We aim to build an education centre directly on the island that would provide an area for them to continue their education with learning materials, give other locals a space to learn English and have educational workshops. Therefore, when the students aren’t able to take the boat to the mother school which could be days at a time, they are still able to learn close to home and outside of school hours! We are in the progress of starting construction now.

Bali Street Mums Project

Many women in Bali are forced to eat, sleep and beg on the streets with their children. Our support helps to teach the local mums a skill so they can support themselves with their own independent income instead of begging on the streets and strive for a better future. Bali Street Mums also have a safe house for them and their kids where we help to provide clean shelter, healthcare, help to put the kids through education and completely change their quality of life.

Sonne International

Many slum dwellings were destroyed by the army in Myanmar as they were erected illegally and on public land due to many people having to leave their homes from the civil unrest. The local people were left homeless including children and the elderly. Our support with Sonne International helps get several families off the streets and rent temporary homes for them and shelter them from bad weather. We have also helped support refugee camps in Yangon and a Buddhist Monastery with around 80 kids that serves as a children’s home with basic medical care and free health check ups.
