Trying to assist during recovery

Mike, AKA "Slapjaw" Robinson has not been feeling good for well over a year. Fast forward to him going in for a physical for him to find out he has inherited family genetics of having Coronary Artery Disease. Each appointment attended got worse and worse with news on his condition. He is currently walking around with a 25% functioning heart. We were finally given the best news possible and that was that he did indeed qualify to have Triple Bypass Surgery, even though he is high risk. If he didn't, it was going to be a heart transplant. The outpouring of prayers for Mike has been amazing. Mike will have Triple Bypass Surgery on Wednesday, July 19th. He will stay at Munson for a minimum of a week and will be on house arrest for a month after. (Meaning no driving) He was told that he will have to be off work for three months. Mike has health insurance, although a pretty high deductible. The biggest issue is that he has no STD or LTD. We are trying to get him some type of short-term assistance through the State, but we are told it will be for Utility Help only. The anxiety and stress of having this surgery has been a huge one on Mike and now he has the worry of covering his household expenses and bills while not working. Anything at all that you could assist with would be a blessing to Mike and his family, as watching him go through this has been an emotional and stressful one.
