My name is Rawda Skaik, and I have created this fundraising campaign to help my niece Hanin Al-Barqouni and her husband Bassam Nasr, evacuate from Gaza and find a safe place to live, get their basic needs met and have a child. They have been living in northern Gaza and have experienced hunger, siege, bombardment and everything bad. They are currently displaced from their destroyed homes and are staying with relatives and have very little necessities for themselves. Hanin is struggling to meet her basic needs due to limited availability of food, water and hygiene supplies. Bassam lost his job and his family home and is unable to support his family and needs to be evacuated to ensure they currently have access to basic and medical needs. They use a handmade stove made of paper, wood or grass (whichever is available in their area) to light a fire and cook their food. This money will be used to pay for evacuation and travel outside Gaza, and the remaining amount will go towards providing a place to rent, basic necessities and medical expenses when they leave Gaza. Hanin Al-Barqouni, who has been married to Bassam for 5 years Since then they have been trying to have a child Hanin has problems conceiving and wants to have an embryo transplant operation. Before the war, she used to go to the doctor and did a lot of tests, which were destroyed when her house was bombed. She is also trying to find a job to support her family financially. Bassam Nasr, Hanin's husband, who lost his home and job during the war and is looking to evacuate his home to provide a safe place for his family to live, get basic necessities, and also save money for his wife Hanin's embryo implantation surgery, to have their first child. **Our Goal**
We are aiming to raise £30,000
£10,000 will go towards coordinating our travel ,
and covering government border crossing fees: - £5,000 for Hanin,
£5,000 for Bassam
£5,000 will go towards renting an apartment for at least 6 months.
This will provide us with a stable and safe environment where we can start rebuilding our lives.
£5,000 will go towards Hanin’s embryo implantation and subsequent tests, medication, medical consultations and delivery.
**Basic Items and Support - £10,000** After deducting the GoFundMe fee, which is usually around 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation, the remaining funds will be used as follows: - Covering accommodation expenses and passport application. - Buying new clothes for the family, as we needed new clothes after 10 months of war. - Providing basic items such as food and drinks, which will be enough for us until I get a job to support my family again. - Paying utility bills including water, electricity and internet to ensure we have the services necessary for daily life. - Seeking psychological treatment to help us deal with the trauma of war. After enduring ten months of conflict, we need professional help to address the emotional and psychological effects on each family member. Your generous donations will not only provide us with immediate relief, but will also give us the foundation we need to start over and rebuild our lives after this devastating experience.
