Help Christina!

Hey all! I hoping that we can all reach out together and help a fellow Paramedic!

Christina Mahnke has been in EMS for quite some time now. Starting with her EMT in 2004 and then transitioned to Paramedic in 2012 – she has made many differences in people’s lives. Christina is mainly known for working at Schuyler EMS and AMR of Corning, NY, but she has also made her mark in the Finger Lakes area working for Finger Lakes EMS. For many that know her – they know she is very hard worker. This girl literally gets awards for working the most over time!

Now for the reason this is being set up. Christina was diagnosed with 2A Breast Cancer on 10/10/2022. Since then, she has undergone treatments and is now in the clear! However, as we all know, with all of this comes medical expenses. Christina worked as much as she could, but knowing what we all know, she had to take some time off for rest and treatments. Bills have accumulated.

Christina has been doing so well since she has returned to work. No matter what – she has her spit fire personality which many have grown to love, including myself. I have set out and started making t-shirts for her and our coworkers to wear in honor of her courageous fight. I know that she knows we all were there for her, but I want her to know that even though she is no longer going through treatment that we are still here for her as much as we were before, if not even more.

Christina continues to work to this day multiple hours a week like the boss lady she is, but I think that maybe as a group we can help offset some of her cost. During this time, her son, who is active military located many hours away from her, announced to her that she is going to be promoted to Grandma soon and they also welcomed a daughter in law into her family as well. One thing Christina has expressed is that she wants to get caught back up financially so that she can relocate to be closer to her son.

We are planning a benefit for her coming up in February to assist but I wanted to make this in hope that people in EMS all over would consider helping us out. All money collected from this will go straight to Christina to assist in paying what is left her medical bills including back rent. Her landlord has been amazing and is allowing her to get caught up when she can!
