Tsionkwanatiio is an important community site that we all use for community events, summer camps, farming, ceremony, canoeing, cultural teachings such as, the making of maple syrup. After an environmental and physical assessment of the building, the Onake II Board has informed the community that due to the amount of black mold, lead paint and rot; the facilities on the property are unsafe for the community to use. In the meantime, the grounds are still available to community organizations. The Board is currently working with the SRMT Environment Program to properly secure the property but may take years.
