Help Debbie Beat Cancer

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Kimberly and I am Debbie's daughter.

In May of 2021 my mother, Debbie, was diagnosed with Stage 3C Rectal Cancer.

-Starting in February my mom started experiencing some stomach issues that seemed out of the ordinary, and after much convincing she finally went for a colonoscopy where they found a tumor along the rectal wall which came back as malignant.
-Radiation & Chemotherapy began on June 22nd.
-As of 8/2 mom has undergone 29 treatments of external beam radiation along with chemotherapy, which will be followed by surgery to remove the tumor and any lymph nodes that have been affected by the cancer, resulting in about a foot of large intestine removed.
-The surgery is dated for October 14, and she will spend 3-5 days in the hospital following the procedure to recover.
-My mom will undergo 4 more months of chemo starting a month after her surgery, followed by another surgical procedure to put some things back in place.

Nobody is ever ready to watch the strongest person in their life become the person in need. Mom has been my rock for my entire life, and watching her go through this has been extremely difficult. Mom has the greatest support team in the world; the most loving family & the best co-workers we could ever ask for at Best Buy (where she is missed every single day, and I don't go a day without giving someone an update on how their Work Mom is doing, and this includes customers mom has helped in the past).

As of July 11th, mom has been unable to work her full-time job with me at Best Buy and is officially on leave for at least a year. Luckily mom does have insurance, but that only covers so much. I've seen just a portion of the bills that have come in so far from the appointments, testing, visits, check-ups, more testing, prescriptions... the list goes on. This is where my mom needs our help.

The seemingly never-ending medical bills are piling up on top the necessary costs of living life, and financial assistance is one of the only stressors we can help with, and one of the ways you can help is to donate if you are able to. If you are not in a position to donate then please share this page wherever and as much as you can!

Anybody who has ever met my mom, even briefly, knows that she is a beaming ray of sunshine on the darkest days. Help me bring some of that sunshine back.

Thank you to everyone to has already sent us their well wishes, cards and flowers. You are all so appreciated by mom and I'm the lucky one to have seen the smiles these gestures bring to mom's face.
