Bruce Berman Memorial Fund

Thank you all so much for your generous donations. It's been a true blessing for Bettina in this extremely difficult time. We've raised the target amount a bit as expenses have proven to be very high. The burial plot alone is 8K, and there are transportation charges, hospital bills and various other bills on top of that - all completely unexpected. One of the last things Bruce said to me was "I just want Bettina to be taken care of". This is really helping towards that goal...

As we all know we’ve just lost a truly exceptional individual. I’m taking about Bruce Berman.

This man touched so many lives and helped so many people. It has left a huge hole in all of our hearts. He lost his battle with cancer on May 6th, 2020.

He had finished his first round of chemo but was also diagnosed with Covid 19 in the hospital creating the perfect storm. It was just too much for him.

His kind heart and no-filter sense of humor was contagious to all that knew him. He was the kind of guy who gave you no choice but to love him. He made helping people his mission in life but unfortunately, he was called to a higher service.  We will miss him dearly!

So many of us whose lives have been touched by Bruce have been asking what they can do to help. The answer is simple.
 
When Bruce entered the hospital, he had every intention of walking back out. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and nothing was set in place to handle this outcome. It left all of us stunned including his Beloved wife and family.

As we all know, it is emotionally draining enough dealing with the sudden loss of a loved one as well as the simple things that “just got taken care of” when they were with us. Throw in the financial hardship of a pandemic and laying your loved one to rest, it’s unimaginable.

That’s where we come in. The family is struggling financially to meet all the expenses to lay Bruce to rest. The funds raised here will be used to help get Bruce to Florida to his final resting place with his parents - including casket and burial. If anyone has ever had to plan a funeral you know the costs add up VERY quickly.
